Thursday League Sign Up

 

Sign Up Emails for Thursday League Rounds are sent out each Wednesday, 3 weeks prior to the round.  You can click "Playing" in the email to sign up.  Registration Fees are due at the time of sign up.  If you do not plan on attending, you can click "Not Playing" to let us know and Golf Genius won't send you any more emails; or just ignore the email. This is the easiest way to sign up.

 

Registration Opens: Wednesday 6:00pm - Three weeks prior to each round.

Registration Deadline: Monday 6:00 pm prior to the Thursday event. 

 

You can also register on the EGC Thursday League Portal site. You must be signed in to register on the portal. 

 

You can cancel online (and get an automatic refund) up to the signup deadline.  Signup Open and Closing dates are shown in the Calendar. 

 

Sign-up Page for Rounds using the Golf Genius App on a smartphone

  1. Download and install the Golf Genius App if you haven’t done so already.
  2. Sign in to the app using your email and password.  Do not use GGID. 
  3. You should see a menu of events.  Click on Thursday League.
  4. Click on Member Portal, about the middle of the page.
  5. Click on “Sign Up”
  6. Click on “Round Signup”

 

Sign-up Page for Rounds using the Web on a PC/Mac or Phone:

  1. On the Thursday League Home Page (or "Sign Up Here" page), you should see the Evergreen Golf Club logo on the left, and a list of Thursday "Upcoming Rounds" with sign-up buttons for open rounds (see picture below).  
  2. If you don't see the list of rounds and the "Sign Up" buttons, click the Gears in the top right (or the "Three Bar menu on a phone), sign off and sign back in using your email and password to make sure you are logged in correctly. 
    >> Do not put anything in the GGID field. If you do not have a Golf Genius email and password, you need to get an invitation, please see "Get an Invitation" info below. 

 

 

How to Sign Up and Cancel for Individual Rounds

 

  • Sign Up: To sign up for Thursday League Rounds, Click on the Sign Up button on the left to sign up. The sign up button will appear three weeks prior to the round date.

 

  • Waitlist: If the round is full, you will automatically be added to the wait list, and you will see a yellow message saying you are on the waitlist. Please sign up for Wait List if the event is full. 
    • We need to guarantee and pay for a minimum number of players with the course.  We only open a small number of slots (typically 24) for each event for full signup.  We will use the number of people on the wait list to request additional tee times a week prior to the round.  Please sign up on the Wait List if you want to play - if you are not on the list we won't be able to request additional tee times.
    • Names will be automatically added to the round from the waitlist in the order you signed up, and you will receive an email notification from Golf Genius. 

 

  • Cancel: Please CANCEL if you are not able to play - whether you have a confirmed slot or if you are on the waiting list.  If you are on the waiting list and someone cancels, you are expected to still be available to show up and play and fill up the tee time slot. 
     
    • Cancel before Signup closing: You can "Cancel" by clicking on the Cancel button on the signup page. If you are not able to play a round, please Cancel as soon as possible.  If there are players on the waitlist, they will be automatically added to the round in the order they signed up, and will get an email letting them know.
    • Cancel after Event Signup is Closed: Once event signup closes (typically on Monday Night, but sometimes earlier), the round will no longer show up on the signup page.  At this point the Tournament Manger has started setting up pairings.  Email EvergreenGC@outlook.com - Cancel Thursday Round (click for a template email) if you need to cancel and the Signup / Cancel button is no longer available. 
    • Please do NOT send email to an individual board member - the tournament director job rotates and that person may not be on duty this week. 
    • We are unable to offer refunds after sign ups close, unless we have someone on the wait list and sufficient time to make the swap. 

 

 

If you do not see the list of "Upcoming Rounds" and the sign-up buttons on the left of the "Home" page for this section:

 

  • Registered Thursday League Members: Please check to make sure you are signed in. Click the Gear logo at the top right side of the menu bar and sign out, then sign in again using your email and password.  Do not use GGID. If you do not have a Golf Genius email and password, click the link below to get an invitation.  

     

  • Get an Invitation and Register for Thursdays: If you want to join us for a Thursday League round, <click here to request to be added to the Thursday League roster>.  We will add you to the roster and send you an invitation to register. Once you are registered you will be able to sign up for individual rounds directly.

 

Tee Time or Playing Partner Requests - How do I request an Early or Late Tee Time, or request a specific playing partner?  Each time you register for a round, the confirmation screen has a link for "Questions for the Tournament Manager?"  This is where you make special requests.  Please request either an early/late tee time OR a specific playing partner, but not both at the same time (e.g. I'd like to have the first tee time and play with Tiger).  

 

What is my GGID?  You do not have a personal GGID (Golf Genius ID).  GGID is not the same as your GHIN ID or your email name. A GGID is used for specific events and rounds where you don't need a username or password.  They are typically used for scoring.  For example. for the 7-May Thursday round, there might be a GGID for scoring in case you don't remember your password or if someone is playing that has not yet set up their GG password.  A GGID looks like "ABCDEFG".  We will be using GGIDs for some events but it will always be clearly called out when you should use GGID instead of your email/password.  

 

NOTE for PC/Mac Web Users: You should see the Upcoming Rounds listed below, shown in the red box.  If your screen does not show this section, make sure you are signed in correctly.  If you still don't see it, click the link above to get added to the roster.
